Welcome! My name is Mrs. Stefanides and I am inviting you to “Step into Fourth Grade”. Here we will “Step Upon”
SUBJECTS
Religion
Our first “stepping stone” takes us into weekly Liturgy. We pray often throughout the day, study the Ten Commandments, and integrate the Beatitudes to strengthen our Catholic identity. All of these, in addition to our Catholic Values, are woven into all areas of the curriculum to help build our faith formation.
Math
Using the MacMillan / McGraw Hill Math; Math Series, we “step into” multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and probability. Using graphs, charts, functions tables, and equations we solve problems that occur as part of our everyday lives.
Science
The next “step” on our journey we explore life, physical, earth and health sciences. Using the Scott Foresman series this is an activity based program that utilizes our science lab. Step in and enjoy learning using this hands-on approach.
Social Studies
The MacMillian / McGraw Hill, Our Regions, lets us “step into” our world. Geography, history, and current issues of the regions of the United States are part of the curriculum. A complete Pennsylvania unit is incorporated at the end of the year.
