| KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM St. Bernadette kindergarten builds upon, and further develops, the skills learned in preschool. The students are given hands on manipulatives to aid in the development of academic skills. Students are taught addition, subtraction, fractions, problem solving skills, measurement and time telling methods. In the area of reading and language, beginning sentence structure, phonics and reading skills are developed. Social studies and science are also part of the kindergarten curriculum. The spiritual development of each child is further enhanced through various lessons and participation in liturgy with the entire school. The children are also taught to respect themselves, other and their property. The students participate in physical education, music, library and computer classes.
